‘Oh Fuck! What is that?’ I ask myself holding my breath, trying to be as quiet as I can.

An animal, ghost, or monster?

I need to run, now, but with tied legs, the best I can do is crawl, and it’s not enough. Using all my energy, I shake my legs to get the rope off me, but it pains. My breath has paced fatally as I see two yellow eyes in the bush looking at me. In response, I close my eyes and pray for help, but that’s useless. I can now hear the footsteps getting closer.

Help me, God! Please.

I don't know what to do or where to go. Nothing but silence and obscurity fill this place. It would be silly to shout for help because the ugly thing would only come closer to me. The best I can do is give myself a fighting chance to survive. We will all die one day, but today is not that day. I make a futile attempt to untie my legs from the rope as I crawl towards a large rock that will provide me with temporary cover. Yes, it hurts a lot, but I was soon able to untie my legs. Finally, I am free, but wait. Now that I can hear the monster growling, I have to be extremely alert and quiet. It continues to look for me in the grasses and elsewhere, while I remain hidden behind the rock, though I'm not sure how long I'll be successful. It will find me eventually and devour my flesh because animals have exquisite senses of smell. I'm sure it can detect my scent.

I need to run, and I need to run now, but quietly.

Even a minor noise could entice the animal to approach me. My breathing has paced like a generator, and my heart is racing. I see it sniffing, looking for me in the grasses as I sneak-peak like a sniper, but it hasn't lost its way. As time goes on, I can feel it inching closer to me from behind the rock as it slowly but surely follows my every move. Now that I've been caught, it's time to act. Fortunately, there are small rocks near where I hide. It's not big enough to fight, but it's certainly enough to distract the thing. Using my rudimentary strategy, I aim for a nearby large rock in the bushes and hit it, luring the stupid animal into a trap. It immediately runs for the noise in the bush, while I walk off the rock into the darkness without making much noise.

I'm still lost in this strange place and have no idea what to do next. I'm not sure if I'm fleeing the jungle or going deeper inside. Running without navigation is insane, but with the flesh-eating animal behind me, it's best to save myself first.

I've only been running for ten minutes and I'm already exhausted. My legs are on fire, and my back hurts like hell. After such a long bondage, I have a terrible headache and severe knee pain.
